EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

September 2003 - Present.
Clinical Coder, working for the Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust based at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital. The role entails collecting and analysing patient's hospital paperwork and test / biopsy results to assign codes to the clinical information relating to the diagnosis and operations / procedures. This involves using Clinical Coding classifications (ICD-10 & OPCS 4.6) in accordance to national standards and local policies. The codes generated are used for health statistics, resource planning and finance. Where clarification is required on a patient's case notes, I liaise with consultants, secretaries and clinical staff. The role has also required me to learn medical terminology, physiology and anatomy.

November 2002 - February 2003.
Technical Office Support at ORBiT Software (UK) Limited, based in Dorking, Surrey. My primary role as 1st line technical support involved supporting customers with the software distributed by the company and the weekly process of the creation of demonstration software discs to be sent out to customers. I also had the responsibility of undertaking outbound pre-sales market research telephone calls to software & hardware resellers.

August 2002 - November 2002.
Administration Assistant in the Acceptances department at Fulcrum Connections Limited in Crawley, formerly an integrated part of Transco. Working through Pertemps employment agency on a temporary contract. Basic duties included data entry, filing and liaising with customers, contractors and gas suppliers regarding gas works.

February 1998 - May 2002.
I began at Tiny Computers Limited, based in Salfords, Surrey, employed in the Technical Support department. This involved supporting customers over the telephone with their supplied software and hardware, raising warranty requests for faulty items and logging engineer visits.

Later during my employment, I was given the responsibility of Team Trainer, after this I was then promoted to Senior Technical Support Advisor. Additional responsibilities for this role involved monitoring my team's performance and answering their technical queries. I have also had the responsibilities of liaising with Microsoft over the department's training needs, creating the department's Technical Appraisal test sheets and resolving technical issues with the PCs within the department, acting as internal support on an ad-hoc basis.

My final role at Tiny Computers was in 3rd Line Support, otherwise known as the Referrals Team. Our small team were responsible for resolving escalated technical issues from the Technical Support departments. This could involve testing a collected PC, researching on the internet, liaising with hardware / software suppliers, various internal departments and our sub-contractors. We also dealt with refund and chargeable onsite requests, in an attempt to resolve them amicably. For the last three months in 2001, I had a weekly responsibility for providing basic technical training to new After Sales staff.

The initiative to diagnose and rectify computer hardware and software problems. I have the experience in building a complete computer system. I am capable of carrying out the installation and configuration of motherboards, processors (socket and slots), expansion cards (ISA, PCI, PCI-E, AGP, AMR & CNR), RAM (simm, dimm & rimm), storage (FDD, HDD, CD, Zip & tape), SATA, EIDE & SCSI.

Operating systems that I have experience in are MS-DOS 6.22, Windows 3.11 For Workgroups, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP & Windows 7 Ultimate. I also have a small amount of knowledge of Windows NT 4.0 & Windows 2000.

I have experience in a wide range of software including Microsoft Office (4.2, 95, 97, 2000 & 2007), Visio 4.0, dBase 4 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0.

Computer languages that I have used are HTML, BASIC, Turbo Pascal 6.0 and additionally OPL on Psion Organisers.

INTERESTS:

Cars, motor racing, computers, music, swimming & Tae Kwon-Do. I'm currently a red belt (9th grade) in Tae Kwon-Do.
